He finally sheded today and that took care of the clog. He's looking great.

If that doesn't work try just unexpectedly put his/her head into water(just a quick dip) as I have noticed when I have done this to soak my balls(no pun intended) he seems to do what a whale does through it's blow hole. I might be wrong for telling you that and I am sure someone will let me/you know but just offering a suggestion. Hope it all works out for you!!!

I don't think I would recommend forcing a snake's head under water. Or any other air-breathing animal for that matter.
