I have yet to be bit yet, however i'm sure it's not even close to as bad as being bit by my sugar gliders! Now those can bite! AND DO ALL THE TIME!
My cat bit me on the forehead once.

Re: biting
I think any mammal bite would be worse than a snake bite. The only thing that freaks me out and makes me jump is their speed. I still jump every time I feed my BCI.

Feel free to come to my house, I have a couple that would help you out! My adult female BP has quite an attitude on her, as does one of my juvies..and the carpet pythons, well, they're still small
I've been bit many times, mostly by the young snakes that aren't used to being handled. I would rather be bit by a snake than any mammal out there.

Re: biting
I got bitten on my wrist by an adult female BP not long ago, and while it wasn't excrutiating or anything, I certainly felt it...throbbed for ages and was a little swollen and bruised for a couple of days afterwards. She got really lucky and hit one of the big veins in my wrist is all. There are pics around here somewhere...I put a thread up about it. She was a new girl and underfed, and -very- -very- hungry. She's gained 200g since and still gives me the eye every time I slide the tub out even an inch.

Re: biting
I have not yet been bit, but I cant wait till he bites me I just want to know the feeling and see his reaction when he does so that I know not to be shocked hehe. My Bp is very calm when I pick him the only times that he jumps back is when I put my arm down and its anywhere near its head but he still doesnt strike its kind of weird. Another thing that concerned me about him is that he has been little bit scared lately around me or when I move my hand around him he will sometimes jerk his head back. But once I grab him he is fine he just moves around and smells me :)

Re: biting
Dean these are indicating gender. It goes male, female, unsexed...so a 0.1 dog would be a female dog, 1.1 ball pythons would indicate 1 male, 1 female and if their are unsexed animals it would be indicated in the last number as in 1.2.5 lizards....1 male, 2 females, 5 unsexed. Hope that helps.
