Here are some pics of my new bp, Ramesses aka "Don't you dare bite me!". He is my first ball after keeping corns. He was kept in less than ideal circumstances but seems very healthy otherwise. The man wanted him to get big fast and therefore was feeding him too much...and live. I am just glad that he is a good eater. He is only seven months old. He has a pretty good temperament except for striking at me today (my fault) when I disturbed him without warning to change water and give him a much more appropiate hide, which he loves by the way. Unlike other snakes, he really doesn't like tight hides. He had one and wouldn't go in, even though he would no doubt fit. I gave him a large one and he's all over the thing. He had just finished shedding when I picked him up. The man had three of his sheds to show me.
Here are the links to his pics. LOVE that first one!
Any comments on his condition? I'm excited to learn more about Ball Pythons and he seems healthy to me but I'd like to know what the experts think.
Pics of his tank coming soon.
I would also like to throw in that the man aquired him from a breeder, not a petstore. I was pretty happy about that!
Also, he looks normal to me but also looks like a black pastel (like in the other thread). He is much lighter than the photos show.
