loki is acting like he wants to eat my hand

loki is my ball python supposedly male but im starting to think hes female. he is getting bigger much faster than wolfgang my probed male and they're both doing well except for recently like the last week loki has started honing in on me when ever i come near his tank and its not as if hes watching me but hes stiff as a board and shakes slightly like he does when hes about to grab a mouse. he is about 3 ft 4 inches and i think that one mouce every 7 days just wont suffice anymore is this what you guys think or is it just agresion?

Nope he is reacting to your movements and the shadows.Is he in a high traveled area? If so maybe you could move him.Not every ball grows in the same manor,even if they are eating the same food size.

My non probed male is doing the exact same thing

One of my BPs is about the same size and he either takes 1 weaner rat and 1 large mouse or 2 weaner rats. Sometimes he likes mice, other times he likes rats or one of each.

My other BP who is about 2 1/2ft has one weaner rat. Sometimes he's still hungry and will take a medium sized mouse so I think Loki probably needs stepping up a bit.

You could, of course, have a "brat snake":cool: ;) :)

My male is 6 months younger than my female and he's just about to pass her in weight. Each snake has their own growth rate so its hard to judge sex based on a feeding response or growth rate.
