Snakes being abused for television again.
I was on stumbleupon and this video came up.

Looks like its some of the guys from jack ass.

I wish stuff like this would stop. I wonder how many snakes were killed or harmed from people landing on them?

Just think about the people that breed snakes specifically for the purpose of generating piles for those snake pits on scare shows. They have no problem shoving dozens of scared animals in sacks together for others to do their bidding with. As long as the money's right...

It all kinda perpetuates the stigma reptiles have, all for no good reason.

Ryan Dunn was my favourite. Im kinda sad he died. I mean, he was drunk driving so it was his own fault, but still.

Okay, it is one thing for Indiana Jones to be afraid of snakes, he's Indiana Jones, but this stuff just makes me sick. I think this also plays into the general wasteful culture we find ourselves in. This is why hermit crabs are sold in critter keepers for a throw away pet, or why iguanas get sold to people oblivious of the care they require. I love does and cats plenty, but I hate this emphasis that people have for furry animals over ones with scales. I think what Michael Vick did with dog fighting was evil, but why should these monsters get any less punishment? I just hate how some people can have complete abandon when it comes to animal welfare. Most of the time, to protect an animal's welfare all you need to do is leave it alone, simple and easy as that.
