    Chocolate?
How do I tell if this is a chocolate? I found a deal that might be too good to be true (1300g female for $150).

I mean if it looks too good to be true it probly is. But on the other hand that's a sweet looking normal. May be worth 150 to see if its genetic or not. Your call really.

I already have two normals so I don't want anymore. I do like the super chocolate so if she is indeed a chocolate, I'd find a male and breed her with him.

Chocolates are kinda rare. Problem is too, some normals can look like chocolates so people will try and scam. Also regarding normals. Normal females can be good to help you make some $ back. More gurls = more eggs = more $$$. Just my .02

I agree with Interloc. To me, it would be worth it to buy her and try to maybe prove out that pattern. Even if it doesn't prove out, breeder females are always of value! Regarding the female being a chocolate... It is difficult to say. I would say no, but then again most BPs to "brown out" quite a bit as they age.

If thats a girl, I would but her even if I already had 10 normal girls. She's hot :D

A little different pattern than I'm used to but have seen variation in my chocolate patterns. If you can get a better picture of the back of the top of the head and the faded areas in the center of the dark lower sides that might help. They don't all have it but a faded bar across the back of the head and white pixilization in the sides would be good signs.

This one has the head fade band:

This one has the good pixilization:

The thing that bugs me now is that he said he bought it from a pet store and that was two months ago. Why is he selling it already?

    Easy come easy go?

I think I paid about $150 for my founder chocolate at a pet store 12 years ago, but glad I hung on to her.
