3 year old hatches venomous snake eggs

I'm a little surprised the eggs even hatched! (Though I don't know their incubation requirements, so maybe it isn't that incredible.)

That's cool though, glad no one was bitten! Haha it was irresponsible I guess if the parents weren't carefully supervising what was gonna hatch outta those eggs, but I woulds done it myself...

Not surprising as it seems everything down under is venomous. :O

Haha, reminds me of when my brother brought me a garter snake and it was actually of copper-head baby. It was maybe seven or eight inches long and it scared the piss out of me for a week while i tried to get it to the authorities.

what upsets me most about this story is yes, the mother KNEW the kid found those eggs, from what I saw in the video clip. She apparently ALLOWED him to put them in that little tupperware container (probably figuring she'd dispose of them later). If the eggs "don't quite" look like bird eggs, then WHY in the hell would you let your TODDLER collect them? Fortunately when the kid picked them up, they weren't near ready to hatch, otherwise he could have been horrifically hurt. I live in an area that is heavy with diamondback rattlesnakes. When my kids were young, I didn't let them play outside unsupervised. As they got older, I taught them what to do as soon as they heard that telltale "buzzing sound"

I used to collect all kinds of things when i was a kid depsite my parents watchful eyes. I had room searches for insects and snakes as a kid instead of weapons. Its not surpriseing that he kept the eggs probably thinking they were no good and just abandoned. I had quail eggs i found for years that had been abandoned and grown over by cactus in my yard as a kid. I also used to catch scorpions and everything else. I wouldnt fault the mother to much for lack of knowledge on snake eggs. Glad nothing negative came from this situation but i do find it kind of cool in a weird way. Best thing to do either way is leave nature alone, took me a few stings froms scorpions to learn my lesson on that one lol.
