Not as bad as I thought it would be...
However Jamaal needs to work on his TD celebrations... :P

For a season that looked like it was to be a carbon-copy of the previous...it actually ended on a high note.

The Chiefs were got rid of the bad apple Larry Johnson, thanks to those who signed the petition again.

And to end the season, they stomped all over their heavily favored division rivals, the Denver Broncos who were playing for playoff contention.

On top of that...this was the Chiefs first win in the new Invesco Field AND bad apple Larry Johnson previously held the Chiefs single game rushing record at 211 yards. Well...Jamaal Charles, who I love, crushed that record with a 259 yard rushing performance. He had an opportunity with two more drives to break the NFL all time rushing record of 296 yards held my Minnesota's Adrian Peterson. Jamaal, very classy, said he was happy with his performance and did not want to break the record in a blow out win and that he has plenty of time to break the record....wow not use to a classy RB...ahem LJ. Charles also was the second leading rusher during the second half of the season behind the amazing Chris Johnson of the Titans.

This team lost 6 games by 7 point or less...they appear much better than their 4-12 record.

After a horrendous start...the Chiefs look to have finally turned the corner.

    That's all. :)

Yeah the Chiefs are headed in the right direction. Charles is a beast and is gonna be picked early in many fantasy leagues next year. You're right though, that dance needs work!

Yeah, it's sad to think that we had him riding the bench the first half of the season behind LJ. I knew last year when we drafted this guy from Texas he would be special. He is a poor-man's Chris Johnson, a NCAA track star. If he can stay healthy, he will be one of the top backs next season. I am still shocked he broke 1,000 yards rushing in 8 games behind a horrible o-line and NO passing game.

It hurts as a Charger fan knowing we coulda had this guy. Instead we traded the farm to pick up Jacob Hester just a few picks before Charles...

Niiiiice! It would be sweet if you could get it signed by him. I'm hoping he stays a Charger as he's one of my favorites on the team. The AFC West as a whole seems to be on the rise. If the Raiders don't implode, they've got some talent on that team. The Chiefs have a lot of good young players. The Broncos.... hmmmm....

I thought about an autograph...Darren and his dad have a house in Olathe KS, where he and I grew up. When I go back home to visit my folks over the summer, I will usually run into him at the Gold's Gym down there where him and his dad still go. I saw him last summer there, but I duno, it would just kind of be awkward to ask him for his autograph being we went to school together, I duno, I feel it would be easier if I was just a "random fan". It would just be kinda weird bringing his jersey to the gym everyday in hopes to run into him. :P Who knows, I get kick out of it when I run into him and get to talk for a bit, in a way it's more valuable then his autograph.

I am cheering for the Chargers in the playoffs. I think they are the most balanced team right now...and the hottest team going in. I would NEVER cheer for the Raiders or Broncos however...

I was born in southern California and actually was a Chargers fan before my family moved to Kansas.

But you are right...AFC west is getting back to being one of the more dominant divisions as they were in the 90's.

This will be a great pickup for the Chiefs if this happens. Charlie Weis may be Chiefs offensive coordinator: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...eis/index.html

Oh yeah...been following that the last couple of days now.

We are also talking to Romeo Crennel...

Both have 3 Superbowl rings with the Patriots working with Scott Pioli (KC's new GM) when he was the director of player personnel for the Patriots.

Both Crennel and Weis are suppose to announce their decisions within the next 48 hours. It would be huge if we could land either of them, but if we landed both...expect to see KC make a huge turn around next season.

    Crennel+Weis+Pioli=Patriots 2.0 :)
