Jerhart, I have some questions about Matt Cassel!
In my other league we can play up to 3 quarterbacks. I have Peyton, Brees, and Jason Campbell. Well Matt Cassel was available so I dropped Campbell for Cassel. I'm looking for some insight into the future of Matt Cassel. Is he completely healthy? Is he starting to get in sync with this offense? How is your o-line holding up? Any opinions (from anybody) on whether dropping Campbell for Cassel was a good move?

I don't think Cassel has done too good thus far. He could very well get better and start doing good as soon as next game. It's a lot to do with syncing the offense and getting everybody on the same page. Then what hurts them is the person who lead in yards receiving(T. Gonzalez) isn't there anymore, and they're run game is hurting bad.

The good new is dropping Jason Campbell for Matt Cassel won't hurt you. :)
3 of the 4 teams the Chiefs have played so far this year were all playoff teams last year and potential playoff teams this year...Ravens, Eagles, and Giants. The first 4 games was to be their most difficult stretch of games of the season.
Their next 4 games: Cowboys, @Redskins, Chargers, @Jags. Only 1 of these teams, as you know, were a playoff team last year...the Chargers. And as we both know, records do not matter in a divisional matchup.
So to answer all your questions...:) Yes, he is healthy. The O-line is still crap. Bowe is getting double teamed...but Bobby Engram, Mark Bradley, and Bobby Wade have all been benefiting.
To sum it up...the first quarter of the season was the most difficult part of the season for the Chiefs...not easy opponents for a new coaching regime and new QB to implement a new offense. I think you will see Cassel put up BETTER numbers from this point on.
As far as Campbell vs Cassel...well I would just look at the strength of their divisions they play in. Cassel clearly has better chance of succeeding in the AFC West than Jason does in the NFC East IMO. :)
Good luck man!
By the way...I am going to go out on a limb and predict the Chiefs get their first win of the season with an upset against the Cowboys.:rolleyes:
Re: Jerhart, I have some questions about Matt Cassel!
Thanks for the detailed analysis Jerhart, that was exactly what I was looking for. Tough loss for your Chiefs, but they have played well as of late. Cassel did great for me! I think I've finally found my 3rd quarterback for my other league. He's got some pretty good stats so far this year with 7 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions, despite heavy pressure put on him. I've also got Dwayne Bowe too. I'm expecting good things from the both of them...
