Me:

-Put snakes into bags.
-Dump out all the coconut husk (I wear a mask when I do this, it can be dusty)
-Clean the tubs using lysol wipes
-let dry
-then I spray each tub with a F10sc solution (approx 8ml:1L of water)
-Let the F10 sit for 15 minutes
-Dry
-While I am doing this I also spray the rack with the same F10SC solution and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then I use a swiffer type of mop to dry the rack shelves top and bottom as best as I can. Then I let it dry (doesnt take long in the hot room).
-Put new husk in
-Put snakes back in

I spot clean daily, and do a proper clean (as above) once a month

Ok, I've been listening to the same question about covering a Ball Python tank for FAR too long, so I'm going to chime in. This is regarding Ball Pythons in aquariums. I've heard people say to "cover the tank partially with..." a wet towel, plastic wrap, foil tape, your mother in laws granny panties.... All decent, but ugly solutions.

Here is a better one! go to your local plastic shop and ask them to cut out a piece of PVC/X for you to the same size as your tank. Then have them cut out a circle that is 2" larger in diameter than your heat lamp (which will leave approx 1 " spacing all around). As well, have them cut (3) 1" holes on the other end. Place this plastic on top of your LOCKED grill lid.

The heat will warm the air on the 1 side of the tank, which will cause cooler/fresher air to be sucked in through the holes on the other end. This will help to keep the tank full of fresh air, while still keeping it sealed off enough to maintain heat and humidity. If you find that you're still having humidity issues then go to the store and buy a reptifogger. Fill is with distilled water and put it on a timer. Run the hose into 1 of the 3 holes. Set the timer to turn on as often as you need to in order to keep your humidity. Maybe once a day for 10 minutes, maybe once hour for 2 minutes.

F10 veterinary disinfectant is a US EPA* approved hospital grade disinfectant. It is used in many of the world’s leading veterinary hospitals and zoological institutions as well as by leading reptile, avian and exotic pet breeders and keepers. F10 disinfectant is widely recognized as the most effective, safest and economical total spectrum disinfectant on the market.

F10 is non-corrosive, non-toxic, non-irritating and aldehyde free so has no adverse effects on people, animals, equipment or surfaces. It has been proven effective at safe concentrations against all types of bacteria, fungi and spores including MRSA, avian influenza, psittacine beak and feather disease, canine parvovirus, e.coli, aspergillus and a host of others.

F10SC Veterinary Disinfectant (dilution 1:250-500 i.e. 2-4ml in 1 litre) can be used for just about anything - disinfecting floors, cages, perches and toys, food preparation areas, inside incubators, washing eggs and decontaminating hands. F10SC can also be applied as a fog or fine spray to mist rooms to eradicate airborne microbes and to stop cross contamination.
