    DIY Rabbit Hutch

So I've decided I'm going to start breeding my own and since many here share their DIY Rodent racks I thought I'd share what I'm gunna do for my rabbits with you guys and gals. So here's the new rabbit hutch I'm crafting.

    Materials used.

    2x4 lumber (2)
    2x2 lumber (8)
    8ftx4ft plywood sheet (2)
    Hardware locks (6)
    Hardware hinges (8)
    1 inch hardware cloth (8ft)
    Rabbit guard wire (8ft)
Rabbit dropping pans or welding sheet metal for dropping trays.

That's where I'm at so far!

    Here's my original plans

    Thanks for looking
    With kindest regards,
    Adin.

If you are using the hardware cloth wire on the bottom, I would recommend to stop before you are to far into your build. I use 1/2" x 1" weld wire 14 or 16 gauge. It will hold up better over time and it is smoother than the hardware wire which will cause sore hocks.

Also how many do you plan on keeping in there? That setup will be hard for multiple breeding doe's.

One rabbit per cage. And where would I find weld wire?

You can purchase it at Tractor Supply some feed stores will order a roll for you as well. If you don't have either option you can order some online from bassequipment.com or klubertanz.com.
