Was cleaning today. And...
A couple of my snakes were so thirsty. So I video them. It felt so weird and cool to feel how their bodies move when they drink. Good experience. I was surprised they did it while I was holding them.

Re: Was cleaning today. And...
My little one used to do this too when he first came home. I would hold him above his water dish when I put him back after handling. Most of the time he would take a drink of water, look up and flick his tongue at me and then I would set him down in front of his hide. I was also amazed that he was willing to drink while being held. He doesn't seem to do it anymore, but then again I don't offer regularly anymore either. I guess these days I trust that he knows where water is and will drink if needed so I don't think of it. It really was cool though getting to "hand water" him for a bit there. Isn't it great when they trust you enough to let their guard down like that?
