    Large mouse size

so I went to my pet store last night to get mice for my snakes and I asked for two large mice... One of the mice was 14 grams and the other was 10... Today I'm going to call the store and ask to speak with a manager for a refund or larger mice, for free of course... Dumb employee

Pet stores interpretation of a "large" rodent varies. I'd think you would have said something if you didn't like the size of the rodents at the time of purchase.

even 14 grams is nowhere NEAR large mouse size. That's about half of a large sized mouse.

Of course you should inspect the mice you get each time, because size is very relevant. To me, a 'jumbo' feeder, is a regular large mouse. I'm used to having mice regularly this large:

The mouse on the left, is about the size of your average 'large' feeder mouse.
Whatcha need to get is some of them thar show mice and startcher self a little breeding operation.

I didn't look at the mice because I've bought from there before.. And I have rats at my house, but they won't breed...

Did you not see the mice until you got home? When I used to buy feeders in pet stores I always checked to make sure they were the size(s) I needed before paying. Not sure you can really blame this one on the store unless they have a posting of their rodent sizes/prices/weights and they have "large mice" listed at >14g.

    Re: Large mouse size

I didn't see them until I got home and that's the only pet store around me so I didn't want to take that trip back, its like an hour round trip . And Im sorry, I just was frustrated about the whole situation..

I can understand the frustration, but everywhere I've purchased feeders - whether a pet shop or a private breeder - has shown me the feeders as they were being put into the critter carriers.
