It's gonna snow here in GA tomorrow!

I don't mean north GA. It's not uincommon for ATL to see some snow. I mean south GA. 1-3 inches expected. My whole city will shut down if that really happens.

Yes, well, if you were to listen to the goofballs trying to make a buck from the issues in the Everglades you would know that the killer Burmese, Rock's and Reticulated pythons are now capable of donning thermals and sneaking up behind you in the snow to eat you in one bite. You know cuz all those pythons can eat humans whole. OH WAIT..... NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Re: It's gonna snow here in GA tomorrow!

They're saying even Tallahassee might get snow too.

I hope it shifts north. I went ahead and asked for tomorrow off, not because of any weather concerns, but I did want a "mental health" day anyway, and since the weather "could" get icy and I'd have to call out anyway, I just went ahead and took it off. Last time I couldn't get in (in January) because of the snow, I had to work from home remotely. I just don't even feel like working, period.

I plan to piddle around all day and nap on and off. I can't wait!

Do you Georgians not like snow? I live in Ohio and love it. There were two snow storm here the last two days. I do have a 4x4 Jeep, so getting around doesn't bother me.

I love snow, but I grew up with it in central North Carolina. Snow in most parts of Georgia is a rare thing and no one here knows how to deal with it since it snows and the roads ice over so rarely.

Braking on a patch of ice? Yeah that sounds like a good idea.

Re: It's gonna snow here in GA tomorrow!

I LOVE snow. But, here in GA, because we don't have a lot of salt trucks, when it starts to melt, it gets into the cracks in the pavement and the next morning the roads are black ice.

We don't generally get packed snow to drive on, we get solid sheets of ice to drive on. I like being "house bound" when it snows, so it doesn't bother me.

    Meh, I grew up in Alaska/Northern Montana/Colorado so snow/cold doesn't bother me....

    But...

Last time it snowed and iced here my car was slid into by some people that don't know how to drive on ice Atlanta + Snow = Mass chaos

I see. That makes sense. We have a ton of plow / salt trucks here. You would be suprised how many people here still do not know how to drive in the snow even though we get quite a bit of it each year.
