    new project.... sugar or spotnose?????

I have a chance to get a group of snakes from someone that is going in new directions with their collection. The two projects they have that interest me are either centered around the sugar gene or the spotnose gene.
I have always like what sugar does with other genes, but i really dont know much about the spotnose or the demands for it. Which way would you guys go???

Sugar spotnose is a pretty awesome combo, is both not an option? Personally, I'd probably go with the sugar. I'm not a fan of genes with mechanical issues(such as you get with the super spotnose) and avoid them.

    could you be more specific?

so its either a bunch of combos with sugar and other morphs, or a bunch of combos with spotnose and other morphs. right?

in that case it really depends on these other genes, and the sex ratio, and the age/weight of the BPs, breeding history, and so on.

i like sugar/calico and i dont really know what to think about spotnose.

Based on spotnose and sugar alone I would choose the sugar group. That decision could change depending on what else is in the individual groups

Re: new project.... sugar or spotnose?????

What are the issues with the super spotnose??? Like i said i dont really know much about the gene.
I would love to get both groups but only have the means for one or the other.

Both groups would have 1.1 single gene juvies and 1.2 two gene combo breeder size. The genes in the combos in both groups are ones I have already and i have a fairly diverse collection that through breeding i could play the odds on morphs i would want that included the sugar or spotnose gene. So i am not really concerned with the combos, I am mostly interested in having 3 breeding animals this year and 5 next year of my new gene.
I do have to say in the spotnose group the combo male is a spotnose yellowbelly, which for a reason I cant figure out now that I am thinking about, none of my males are yellowbelly.

Degree of wobble/wonkiness like you get in spiders, womas, champagnes and super sable.

I would definitely go for sugar. I like the the calico/sugar genes a lot.

I would go for the sugar as well. The combos you can make with them are great.

Same with everyone else, sugar. Sugars have a lot of variation and no real problems to my knowledge.

I would go with sugar. Sugars really do a good job at enhancing beauty of most snakes in my opinion. Spotnose I'm not a big fan off honestly.
