That one animal that hates you... Ner'zhul the Occidentalis

Many keepers have that one animal that isn't fond of captivity. For me, that would be my 2013 CB Argentine (Boa Constrictor Occidentalis) female Ner'zhul. I've worked with many aggressive snakes by this point, but none of them had that devious twinkle in their eye... not quite like Ner'zhul. She's extremely beautiful, but she'll take any and every opportunity to cut me. Haha. It's comical because I've accepted it by now.

Here is an insight into my onyx gem, Ner'zhul. Do you have any animals that feel the same as my dear BCO? Post pictures!

*P.S. The tub looks small, but is actually a 41 quart in a rack system. I tried to sneak as close to her as I could!

Nice looking snake, I don't have any animals like that. I like the name, you're obviously a fan of Warcraft lore

    This is my "sweetheart" lol
She's great once you get her out but other than that she loves to tag me.
I've had her since the day she was born and she gives meaning to the phrase "mean as a snake"

But she's a butter het ghost who's being bred right now, so I can't get too mad at her.

My amazon tree boa, Medusa, has it out for me. She used to strike glass when I walked by but she's calmed down from that. My Brazilian rainbow boa, Diablo, has it out for my wife. My spinner, Dizzy, is just plain angry, but really can't land a strike on me to save her life, so we just laugh at her.

I just love Argentines, they are so gorgeous!

I see why you put up with the meanness.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

I play world of warcraft whenever I find free time, so you are correct The name suits her.

Oh that Royal is adorable! I'd put up with her attitude as well, haha. I have a pastel sugar that doesn't like me, despite having her since she hatched.

Lol. But I just smile and say, "it's okay little ball python". I like it when that species acts tough.

Medusa is a perfect name for a frustrated Amazon boa, lol. The body shape is akin to what I would imagine her hair being like.

And her beauty is a large factor in why I still tolerate the aggression, haha. But at the end of the day, I brought her home so I couldn't give up on her even if she was ugly.

Thanks for the awesome responses! I'm at work and I'll give a better one later

I used to have a male Black Pastel ball python that had a bad attitude for several months when I first got him. He eventually settled down, but I couldn't help nick-naming him "Mr. Grouchy-face".
