    Doing the happy dance:D!

Finally got my baby GHI to eat her first meal with me Been over a month and I know balls can go for months without eating but it's been nerve wracking. It was just a mouse fuzzy but I think we're over the hump. She's super defensive but would never constrict. Tried live/ft mouse hoppers/fuzzies, rat pinks/fuzzies but nothing. Never tried braining prey items with her but I did last night and she ate as soon as I left the room.
Hopefully she turns into a piggy like all my other worms

Sounds exactly like my GHI when I first got her Took her over a month to eat and it was so stressful the whole time! I never tried live because I couldn't find anything small enough for her. Tried braining, chicken broth, rubbing it on a live mouse, every combo I could imagine, but not even a lick of interest!

Then one day I had a live mouse that my other ball pythons would not eat and dangled it in her tub just to see if she would even give any type of response and BAM! she had it before I could register what was happening! Lol, I freaked out because I thought it was way too big for her, but she took it down. Took 4 live mice before she would take a F/T rat pup, but dang it if she isn't one of my best eaters now! She even tagged me once because she was so excited for feeding It's been 1 and a half months since that first feeding and she's already doubled in weight (55g to 120g).

Good luck with your girl, I'm sure now that she has the taste for it she'll be looking for more

My 3 other balls LOVE to eat so I'm hoping she follows suit. My Banana would probably eat everything that gets put into his cage until he burst. He's indiscriminate....rat, mouse, frozen or thawed. Doesn't matter to him. Haha

Doing the happy dance, electric slide and the mashed potatoe! Although tbh I've only heard of the mashed potatoe on the credits of The Great Outdoors with John Candy hahaha Striker took her 2nd meal in under a week Couldn't find a hopper as my store was fresh out but they had fuzzies and I grabbed the biggest one. It was however, significantly larger then her 1st meal. Feeling really good today.
