Need Help first season breeding.
We have a small coral glow pastave male. I believe he isabout 600-700 grams. I can't remember off the top of my head, but he does havesperm plugs and I’m sure he is ready to breed. We have placed him with all fourfemales and have not seen a single lock. We placed him with each female in thefemales’ tub for three days, then 1 day off to feed, then three days with thenext two females each. I am a bit worried he is our only python that seems tonot have fully adjusted since we got him. We fed him 2-3 times and gave him ahide in his tub, but he always seems stiff and wants to snap at everything defensivelylikes he’s always scared. We have a total of three projects for our firstseason and he is our most important project, and it feels like we are doing something wrong. Iam really worried he is not locking or breeding with the females. Our other twoprojects seem to be going well, every one is feeding and we have viewed numerouslocks from the males in our other two projects. What should we do? Please helpif you have any ideas. Thanks

Personally I'd give him more than just one day off. If he's a first timer, he just might haven't got the whole thing down yet. I mean, imagine if you were expected to perform your first time with several people in a row! That'd make anybody a little tense under the pressure!

^Thanks, Ill give him another day off, but my concern is not seeing any locks at all. I wonder if hes getting the job done?

I'd even introduce him less then that. I introduce virgin males for two days a week until they figure it out. If I see courting I'll leave him in for an extra day. I think you are increasing his stress by not resting him enough.

So, Just one female a week? Leave him in there for two days then put him back in his tub? Also, should I try to feed before I put him with a female or right after I take him out?

Yes, if he's not breeding you are just creating extra stress. I feed and give all my snakes two days rest before I pair them again.
