Breeding boas
Do boas breed at certain times of the year or is it temps and lighting that prompt them?

Both. The naturally decreasing light and cooling of temps that occurs in the fall prompts their hormones to get in gear, so to speak. A healthy animal can be artificially cooled and successfully bred nearly any time of the year. However, they are pretty cyclical and a boa that was cooled and bred in the fall won't likely be ready to do so again until the following fall. There are exceptions to every rule though, lol.

Re: Breeding boas
I do the seasonal thing. Pair up from november through march.
My snake room has a window in it for natural light phase decrease in the fall. I believe this helps.
