Re: has anyone kept a wolf spider? pic, too.
Funny, just the other day my boss brought a big dark one in in a jar for me not knowing what it was. I still have it, and its eaten good for me so far, but ill probably end up releasing it. Ive kept widows too that were fun

those pics are awesome. I am kind of torn about keeping this one, since I am getting some mild grief from the hubby. I told him that he is safer from it, in my container than it was out in the yard, where it could get in and crawl on him! Not sure if he is buying that argument; lmao. I did transfer her to a bigger sealed bin/tote.. MAN is she fast when she wants to be!

I still have her. I had a discussion; I told my husband that, if he truly disliked having her around, I could let her go back outside. He is fine with it. He really does not know much about spiders without me teaching him. He is also really sensitive because of Jeff Hanneman (from the band Slayer) recently dying of an infection that was thought to have been originally caused by a spider bite outside of the US. He knew Jeff personally, and was really distrought about his passing away. I explained that this is not something that will happen in this situation, and cleared up his fears about it.

has anyone kept a wolf spider? pic, too.
"Liver complications because of a spider bite"
I'm not hating, but you don't think drugs or alcohol had anything to do with it lol...? A wolf spider bite wouldn't be a big deal at all. It certainly couldn't kill you. It really sucks he died though, one of my favorite bands.

That is why I said that the infection was 'thought' to have been caused by a spider bite. Researching the subject online is futile, because the search outcomes are fraught with speculation and untruths. I certainly personally never blamed a spider bite for the musician's death; the media does, but in all reality, mrsa and other flesh-eating bacteria that can cause necrosis can be contracted by many, many means. At any rate, no matter what caused his death, I was able to reassure my husband that this spider is not something to fear.
