    AI CS3 kingsnake brushes download

I started making some snake skin brushes for Adobe Illustrator 13. I'll be making a downloads page with these on my website, but I thought I'd test them here first. I plan on doing ball python morphs if I don't get bored of this before I get a chance, but for now I made seven kingsnake phases and morphs. No heads or tails for now, this is sort of an early beta version, but I will probably draw heads and tails for the ball pythons, so you can draw a squigly line and apply the brush pattern, and the line will turn into a snake. Right now it's just the body patterns. Draw your own heads. This is a zipped brush file for PC. I thought these might be useful for logos and stuff, and the patterns can be pulled out and turned into fill swatches to make tiled backgrounds for web pages and junk.

Here is a link to the brush set:

Here are samples of the brushes included. These are squiggly lines that have had the brushes applied.

Here is a sample of what can be done with a little editing of a pattern and turning it into a swatch:

Enjoy. Feedback is appreciated, and if you use any of these let me know so I can see what kind of creative things people can come up with for these.

that is awesome. I'm not very creative, so i didn't really see what the point was at first, but that logo thing is tight! Good job, and thanks for the example!

Thanks guys. I can't wait to do some ball morphs. I'm going to use at least 3x as many scales for each pattern, so I can get all the detail for the morphs I do. I'm also going to use more realistic colors, but for the kingsnake patterns I wanted it to be simple and have a cartoon feel since the main use of these would likely be logos.

I started working on a brush that makes a spider ball, but I've got some work to do before it looks like I want it to. I'm done for the day, but here's where I'm at. It really sucks that you can't use gradients in patterns that you are going to make a brush out of. Hand filling each scale is a pain.
