    Super Lesser vs. Super Russo

    Hello

I am debating between the two and was wondering if I could get some feedback and maybe a few questions answered ..

Are chances good for either one being a clean white snake?

Would you say there are more possibilities with either one over the other?

Could anything good come from pairing the two, a Super Russo x Super Lesser ? Say producing more BELs?

Also ... this is a bit off the topic , but I have wondered how can you truly know what combination you are getting when it comes to something like a BEL , when there are a few different recipes...

Breeders really have no reason to lie about the combo right? I mean they're pretty much all the same price...
Whether it be a Mojave x lesser or a russo x butter, or super ?

    Sounds paranoid eh? lol ...
I am looking at breeders that have good reputations .... but Im still curious in general ...

    Thanks for reading :-)

    Just want to add....

I saw another thread where people seem to not like when others ask about prices... Know that I mean no offense and I am not out to low ball anyone.
I just want to know if 2k is a fair price for a super lesser male...

I'd just start sending messages out to reputable breeders and look on Ks. Ask them about payment plans and prices.

Most will do it cheaper for a single payment than for a payment plan as well... dont be afraid to make offers (as long as they are reasonable they wont get mad )

Re: Super Lesser vs. Super Russo

Any lucy combo other than a mojave x mojave is known to be very clean and white. My leucistic pictured below is a russo het x lesser. He is the whitest snake I have ever seen. I believe the only difference would be the eyes. The russo het x russo het leucistics are supposed to have the lightest blue eyes of them all but mine has some awfully light crystal blue eyes.

As for multiple combos, mine is being put to a butter. Any leucistics I get will be a mystery. They could be a combo of any of the 3 genes so I would need to make that clear if I sell any babies. You wouldn't know if you would get russo's, lesser's or butters if one was put to a normal until the eggs hatched.

As for price, the super mojave's are priced a bit lower but they are all generally a grand+ depending..

    ~Russo Het x Lesser Platinum, Leucistic~

from pictures I've seen both are clean white snakes, I've only seen super lessers in person, pure white. I've seen one picture of someone who claimed a super russo with a yellow stripe, looked too much like an ivory for me to believe it when all the others I've seen were pure white, mayb I've only seen nice ones tho.

Would you say there are more possibilities with either one over the other?

Same amount of possibilities, I mean breed the BEL to a pastel and you can make pastel russo or pastel lesser, up to you, personally i like lesser combos better.

    they would make more BEL

Also ... this is a bit off the topic , but I have wondered how can you truly know what combination you are getting when it comes to something like a BEL , when there are a few different recipes...

super mojaves are easy, I've seen a few mojavexlessers that were yellowed out as adults. but no there no way to tell.

Breeders really have no reason to lie about the combo right? I mean they're pretty much all the same price...

things with mojave in them are less expensive. a super mojave is the least expensive BEL, but their not pure white
