We were in a Costume/Halloween parade Pics!!

My mare Indi and I were in a costume parade, giving out candy with about 20 other riders and a buggy with pair of QH's pulling it.
Her first parade, and she did great.
The weather SUCKED... 30 Plus mile an hour winds, with 45 degree weather. BLEH...
We went as a samurai and horse. I did some research online, you can google it..
The odd thing is they use orange cloth a lot for "barding" and like tassles..
So we went with that.. but in red.
AND they use a blue and white striped cloth for reins. I use a blue and white rope. oh.. and since they have Clan symbols, for their sponsor or samurai clan..
MY hubby and I came up with two black geese, nose to nose.. "rampant" for our "clan" symbol.
Well here are some pics of us, some good, some .. not so much.
    LOL

    Awesome! She's so cute!!!

I hope to do something like that one day! My mare injured herself four years ago, fractured her skull and pretty much lost her left eye. I would LOVE to dress up as a pirates and put a patch over her left eye Maybe you could help me design her pirate patch!

Looks like you both had fun! Neat costume.. my one mare would probably flip out if I tried that with her.

Re: We were in a Costume/Halloween parade Pics!!

I usually worry about her, but I have had her since she was 2 1/2 and trained her myself. She is neurotic but we have a great bond. I had never done this before with her, but simply decided we would do it.
We are going in a Holiday parade in December.
Being a saddlebred cross, she is high strung, but so willing.
I had them out to eat grass yesterday and give shots, she just kept bumping me wanting treats.
