Question about my temp probe in my 5 rack breeding rack

Where should the probe be in the rack. i know the hole it goes into but how far in should it go? should it go in the tub? I really need to know the sooner the better. Thanks!

Re: Question about my temp probe in my 5 rack breeding rack

If you are talking about a thermometer probe, then yes - it goes in the tub on the floor directly above the heat source. If you are talking about a thermostat probe, then no - it goes on the outside of the tub taped directly to the heat source.

EDIT: As far as how far in, etc, that's a great question that we can't answer without seeing what you're talking about. Got a picture?

Are you asking about a thermoMETER probe? Or a ThermoSTAT probe?

ThermoMETER: Simply measures what the temperature is.

ThermoSTAT: Measures AND CONTROLS the temperature.

PS.. Your FB link goes to a blank FB page (for me).
