Post Looking for a new reptile

hey folks i just wanted to ask what other reptiles would be good for the type of cage i have. I have a AP T8 PVC cage 48Lx24Dx12H that i was gonna use for a ball python but unfortunately i can't do a snake because my little sister is too scared (blah). so i have this empty tank and i don't want it to go to waste, i was thinking maybe a bearded dragon because if has plenty of floor space i think but I'm not sure on the height. if you guys can give me some ideas of a reptile i can house in it would be much appreciated like i said i have this nice cage but my sister has crushed my python dreams for the moment. Thanks

Blue Tongue Skink would do nicely in there.

12 high is a bit short for a Beardie in my opinion. I like a little more air space under the basking lamp.

Or.... you could order the pop-in divider from AP, and have two smaller enclosures. Maybe a beardie on one side and a Leopard gecko on the other side.

Yup, Beardies do like more climbing room whereas a blue tongue is terrestrial and doesn't care about the height.

Not tall enough for a beardie, you could split it like others have said and go with either a fat tail or leopard gecko, a bluey, or possibly a uromastix if you can provide a warm enough hot spot.

I wouldn't put a uromastyx in a 12 inch high cage. These guys can be pretty active and like to climb.

A blue tongue would be great as well as a leopard gecko.

To small and closed off for any tortoise. They do best in at least a 6ft box style enclosure with an open top.
