Kakarott the carrot-tail
This week I went to one of the local petstores to look at the price of crickets for my sister's spyder and ended up getting out with a Leo!
It was there for 1 week and was 6 month old, hopefully it did not catch anything bad from it's short stay there XP.
Now I'm looking up more about them as I know more about Cresties and Gargs.... especially as I have an insect phobia. Hopefully I'll be able to get over it! S/he is just too cute and chubby! Also wondering if it is possible to make a "live" vivarium for it. I did it for my crestie and garg and wouldn't mind figuring out how to do it for a desert terrarium...
Here it is! The clerk could not see if it was female or male. She thought it was F but after looking thinks it might be M... I don't really care one way or another but its always good to know at one point....
Fall 2015 :
"I'll only get one" I said, cuddling a bp hatchling "See how it goes"
Two months later :
2 adults, 2 juveniles and 1 bci.
"Oops"
Next month :

Cute! I've never done a planted viv for my Leo's, but have heard of others doing it. You just have to be more a bit more careful with them because they lick everything. Just make sure there's nothing small enough for them to ingest.

That's good to know! I'll have to reasearch first but I've just saw the licking in action... I'll have to see if I can turn that to my advantage in a way or another. (with the calcium intake and stuff like that)

They do say that Leo's will lick calcium from a bowl as they need it. I leave a bowl of calcium (no D3) in with mine at all times, and dust their feeders with calcium (WITH D3).

Cute little bugger. If it starts glowing bright yellow though, you may want to stay out of the way, or feed it fast, lol.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

As long as he does not grow hair I should be fine! And really. he can't even get out of his temporary tub, not much he can do
