    Curious....is there a Butterbee Pied?

I don't breed BP's, I'd rather wait until I finish up school (working in 3D animation, really fun stuff!!) but after searching for a pic of one and coming up empty handed....I was wondering if there's a such thing as a Butter Spied/ Spider Butter Pied? Those are some of my favorite single gene morphs. I was kinda hoping someone has a pic of them combined.

If not, there would be a 1/8 chance it could be produced by a Butter het. Pied X Spider het. Pied paring right?

    Thanks

You would have a 1/16 chance Not sure if there are any around but they aren't listed in the morph list...

Butter/lesser pieds don't look great. Not much different than a leucistic. The genes don't react well, unfortunately. Not only that, they get weird eyes. Not for me.

Spider pieds only get color on their heads, like this. I think it's cute, but some people don't like it.

Fire, yellowbelly, pastel, black pastel and many others react well with piebald, but I personally don't think lesser/butter does. Spieds are definitely something of an acquired taste, but some people love them.

Re: Curious....is there a Butterbee Pied?

If it has been made, it would likely be all white and hard to tell. You would have to breed it out to prove what it is.

And I think Lesser Pieds are great. They are like a brighter version of Blue Eyed Lucy's. I'll admit it is disappointing that you can't really stack more genes in it because of the bleached out effect.

My favorite part about working with lesser and Pied together is how almost all lesser het pieds or lesser het Pied combos have perfect or near perfect stripes. The two genes just go well together.

Yeah, lesser pieds are good for the lucy effect, but other than that... I think the pied effect is a little lost in there, that's all. Didn't know that about the lesser het pieds, kind of interesting. It'd be nice to know why that happens.
