    Height for BTS pvc cage?

    Hi guys!
I am going to be ordering a pvc cage for my BTS from C Serpents. Before I ask for a quote, I wanted to know what your thoughts were on height. I'm planning on doing a 4' x 2' and am going to ask for a litter dam and swing down solid piece door... All that said, what height do you recommend? I think that it'll be a lot cheaper to do a light fixture on top with a screen cut out. To that end, I was thinking about 1' tall, but am unsure if this will make the cage hard to get into to clean. Would 14" work better? I am also planning on asking for a fluorescent tube light on the inside of the cage, so if that affects things, I'd love your input.

Also, if you have input on how hight the litter dam should be, that would be great as well. He's got about 4" of substrate in his cage now, but I could always give him less and ask for a shorter litter dam.
    Currently keeping:
    1.0 BCA 1.0 BCI
    1.0 CA BCI 1.1 BCLs
    0.1 BRB 1.2 KSBs
    1.0 Carpet 0.5 BPs
    0.2 cresteds 1.2 gargs
    1.0 Leachie 0.0.1 BTS

Mine are 19.5 inches tall, keep in mind you use basking lights.

I personally only use 2 inches of substrate.

Mine are 2ft tall with the flood light wired inside the cage (I have found you can heat the cage with a lower wattage and maintain temps better with internal lighting), my substrate barrier is 6in tall because I provide a deep substrate layer.

Re: Height for BTS pvc cage?

We have a AP T10 that we are using for my daughter's BTS and it is 15" tall. It seems like a nice height and keeps the basking lamp far enough away that there are no issues.
