Not sure if I should move up to next feeder size

I'm getting ready to place an order with a rodent breeder and they're going to be shipped to me. I want to make sure I get the right sizes.

**Note** these are their weights without having pooped since their feeding last week but their actual weight is pretty close.

Right now they are both on pups ranging from 20-29g but my female always seems hungry. Her head is always sticking out of her hide waiting for food to come along. I haven't even been able to hold her at all this week (except today) because she's been in feeding mode.

    Male

    Female

Are they both ready to move up to 30-40g weaned rats? That's the next size up from the breeder.

Or should I move him up a size and keep her on pups?

Sorry, it's kind of hard to see. Male is reading 415g and female 223g

I feed wealings to my female enchi when she broke 300 so your male could handle for sure if we're me i wait till your girl a little bigger but i belive overfeeding can lead to hungrier strikes

I think I'll keep her on pups and move him to weanlings. They're both very good eaters and have never refused so I don't want to mess that up

Your male could even do one small rat per week, that's what mine is eating and he weighs about 445 grams. The female should be good with pups for awhile longer.

]The top one can definitely be on weaned rats (30g-40g).

I usually switch mine to similar size weaned rats around 225g to 250g. You could probably do it with the bottom one. I only feed once a week, so if you're doing more frequently keep that in mind.

I only feed them once a week, every Tuesday night. I think I'll switch him to weanlings asap but I'll keep her on pups for a bit longer. Hopefully she'll be fine on them and stop hunting for food lol

    I am the same!

My girl is around 286g empty, but she doesn't seem to be getting much girth so i'll probably move her up to weaned rats when shes in the mid 300's.
