What's your average days from pre-lay shed to laying?

Just curious and wanted to hear feedback from other hobbyists!

My averages are 30-45 days, but have ranged from 20-50+ days! I think some factors that may influence this range include nutrition (which effects hormonal physiology), experience of female (first timer vs proven), husbandry/stress, temperature, history of disease/parasites, genetics, individual variability, etc.

    Please share your experiences! Thanks!

My first girl this season was 40 days and my most recent girl was 43 days. Both were proven, but this was their first year in my care so I can't give info on how this compared with previous years for them.

If you'd have asked me a week ago I'd have told you 27 to 28 days. However, my latest girl I am waiting on is in a holding pattern and its been 32 days already. Hopefully soon.

Keep the responses coming! It's really interesting to see all the different averages.

Re: What's your average days from pre-lay shed to laying?

Well I figured I just add to this here as I have two girls ready now, but no eggs yet. I'll cut the one girl a little slack as today is day 27. The other one is at 32 days and just finished a second pre-lay shed yesterday, which I didn't even know they could do until she did. Stay tuned.
