    DIY lightbox

About 30 dollars and 20 minutes time and here is the end result. Not bad for an iphone photo. Something anybody selling snakes online should look into.

Can you give a description of how you made your light box... I'm looking into making one tomorrow.. Or did you follow the basics of the sticky Post?

    Great photo

I followed this video for the most part. Except for I just used paper towel instead of tissue paper.

    Very nice.

Most of the light box photos I see people post the light is way over exposed and the snake looks like it's in a spotlight. Not much better IMO. But yours is one of the few that definitely look really nice. Good job.

I futzed around with light boxes, but discovered that with a bounced flash off the ceiling, I can get results just a nice and it's way easier than setting up a box. But for people who don't have a DSLR or a flash that can bounce, they should use yours as photos to aspire to.

I agree a zillion percent that people selling snakes need to (try to at least!!!) take better pictures.

    Re: DIY lightbox

Yeah I joined a local reptile group on Facebook and after seeing the lack of quality photos posted there I figured if I ever intend to sell any snakes I want to have something better than that.
