    Love bites from my sav

Hi guys, was trying to hand feed my sav and she got a little too excited.

Also she's not exactly friendly haha. I'm trying to interact with her more and always have know sooner or later it was going to happen. Well... It finally did.

    Anyway here are the pics:

Looks like I can finally join the club.

Try metal tongs, they're a necessity for monitor lizards. Trust me, that's just a nip.

    How big is your sav?

Yeah I do have a pair. But I'm trying to 'tame' her down to a extent so can perform husbandry duties easier.

Thankfully she's still tiny. About 1 1/2 ft now

OK. Check out varanustalk.com and savannahmonitor.net for good care etc. There's also a "taming" page.

My main advice, tong feed. There's never such thing as a tame monitor, only healthy speedy and trusting, or sick and sluggish.
