    Pastel Clown or Clown Pastel?

So my new guy from JKR arrived today and I love him!!!! So I had to grab a few quick picks before getting him into the quarantine tub to get acclimated to his new home. After getting him unboxed and photographed I entered him into Reptile Scan so I could start tracking him and this had me thinking. Justin had him listed as a Pastel Clown which I think flows better off the tongue than Clown Pastel but that's how I've seen them listed elsewhere. Does anyone know if there is a general rule as far as listing out the genetics of an animal when naming it? i.e. recessive, co-dom, dominate?

Here are a few of the pics.

    Cheers, Jeff

Nice pickup! As for the names I don't think there's any rule I guess what sounds best unless the maker gives the combo a nickname. In your case I usually see pastel clown

Re: Pastel Clown or Clown Pastel?

There aren't naming rules beyond trying to make every effort to call-out the genetics as accurately as you are able. As long as you're not misrepresenting your animals, people will know what you mean.

For cases of codom/recessive combos, generally you see codom genes written first and the recessive gene second. Enchi Pied, Leopard Clown, Pastel Orange Ghost, are common examples, but it's not correct or incorrect either way. There are even some combos where it's more common to see them written the opposite of what I just wrote.

    To each their own. Cheers!

Thanks guys. I have the Morph Makers Guide book too and saw the references to going alphabetical too but he also switches that at times to lead with the super form first then go alpha. As I fugured though no rule just what ever sounds right. On WOBP it's listed as a Clown Pastel and a search of the morph list by Pastel Clown won't return any results. Too funny.

Either way you have an excellent specimen, I want one but the prices I've seen range from 900-1300.
