    Ideal hognose temp.

What is the ideal temperature on the warm end for a western hognose snake? I've heard many different mixed answers, and I'm just not quite sure. So, what is it? I really appreciate the help.....

Like any other species husbandry can vary from one owner to another and finding what works for your animals is what is important.

Temps can vary greatly depending on who you are talking too. from the mid 70's / Mid 80's on the cool side to High 80's / Mid 90's on the warm side.

Here is how I keep mine

Fall / Winter (outside brumation period) cool end 76/78, hot end 88
Spring / Summer 86/87 ambient temp, no hot spot offered.

I found this sites caresheet helpful when I got mine.

    http://extremehogs.com/Caresheet.html

I was following other caresheets with little success of getting mine to eat. I raised my temps after reading up on the above link and while mine still refuses frozen she gobbles up live and she has finally be having constant gains.
