    1.0 Pastel Clown pick-up!!

We picked up this nice 1.0 Pastel Clown from Ken Macek Reptiles. Nice addition to the breeding stock. We have a few 66% PH Clown girls for him to prove out down the road!!

All these female 66% PH Clowns look very promising..... 0.1 Nuclear 66% Het Clown, 0.1 Butter 66% Het Clown, 0.2 66% Het Clowns. We're betting they all prove out based on their markings and have held these girls back.

Anyone care to cast their votes on which females will prove out??

    0.1 Nuclear 66% Het Clown:

    0.1 Butter 66% Het Clown:

    0.1 66% Het Clown (Could be a Fire ):

    0.1 66% Het Clown:

I'm not familiar with the het Clown markers. What are you seeing in these girls that makes you lean towards them proving?

Theory from what I've read, Het clown marker is a dot on the large part of the head. Though like the pied markers it's probably not a 100% indicator, but its still a good indicator.

We had the Wilbank's staff stop by the shop while they were in town for Daytona and they pointed out all our 66% Het Females we should hold back to prove out. Het Clowns generally have a nice headstamp and some white outlines inside the alien heads. The dorsal patterns generally look very "Clown-ish" as well.

We would not be wasting our time raising these girls up to breeding size if indications were that they would not prove out

Thanks!! Really a nice pick-up in our book as well. Traded a few female hatchlings to Ken Macek for this beauty.... the finest at the FIRE show that we had come across

He's already 310g and should be ready in a few months to pair with our 0.2 Fire 100% Het Clowns

Nice snakes! Good luck and I hope they prove for you. That's interesting about the head stamp. I have a male 100% het Pied that has a wicked head stamp like your female 66%. He also has an interesting dorsal and overall pattern compared to the only other sibling of his I saw. Unfortunately for me though all I have with Clown is a 1.0 Pastel het Clown, no females yet.

I got my male het Pied from "Pete's Pieds". As far as Pieds I only have a het male and female. As far as Clown I only have a Pastel het Clown. My male het Pied for sure looks different from the sibling I saw of his. I slightly wonder if he could be het Pied and Clown. Could just be nothing but he does have a serious head stamp like the het Clown markers.
