    My First Hoggie

Long story short I decided to move away from ball pythons and into something more unique, something most people don't even know about. So I decided to move into hoggies.

About 2 weeks ago I found an albino male, under a year old for sale somewhat local for $600.....I offered fair market value of $175 and held my ground at that. Plus there was a reptile show yesterday I had been anticipating and was hoping to snag a hog there, but alas there was no one selling hoggies at all. So back to the male I kept looking at on Craigslist, and finally got him to take $175.

So after picking him up from the old owner I set out to get him properly setup. He was in a very dirty 6qt tub with just a wadded up paper towel and a water bowl. Not even 1 vent hole in tub either. Now he is in an Iris 13qt tub with at least an inch of aspen bedding and lots of ventilation.

    Re: My First Hoggie

To move on with the story he is a bit on the thinner looking side so today I fed him some small f/t pinkies. He took 2 and wanted more but I figured best to hold off a day or 2. Definitely has an amazing feeding response which makes me even happier. I just can't wait to get a few more of these guys and get some good pairings going

Hoggies are cool little snakes, and that one looks really nice
