    Need help..Is this a black pastel?

    Doesn't look like the black pastel i saw in wobp...but i'm not quite familiar with black pastel.

    No not a black pastel....looks like a nice normal. Here is my black pastel, but his markings are more scattered because he's het pied:

    He was in an import group from togo...his color kinda look like black pastel and the belly was clean,but the pattern didn't look like one.so i ask for your trained eyes opinion

    Hanz--looks like he has partial black back so that's always a plus though. I keep hearing people importing ball pythons in groups and getting a bunch of different morphs, what's the scoop on that?

    He actually has a pretty wicked black back. That can be really useful in breeding. My cinnamon female for example, is almost completely blackback/blushback. It is a very desirable trait in any number of morphs and combos. And while it may not be exactly genetic, more like selective breeding, it's still cool.
