    Thermostats: helix, herpstat, VE, Ranco?????

Hey guys, looking for a thermostat for my rack system with flexwatt. Currently i'm using herpstat2 and hydrofarm thermostats on my glass tanks to control ambient air and UTH's. What's the best type of thermostat for a rack system: on/off, pulse proportional, dim proportional??? I know a lot of people like the Helix DBS-1000 but i couldn't find on their website whether it's on/off, pulse prop, or dim prop.??? I've also been told to use the zoo med 500r or zilla. Whats the best Thermostat for my rack setup??? I have a 4 level rack 28qt rack with 4" flexwatt belly heat on each level.

Herpstat 1 is what I use on all my rack systems. Can be set to proportional or dimming. I like the dimming option, as I can visually see that it is using around 29% of it's power level to get my tape to a constant 98 which produces the results I need in my CB70 tub systems.

Herpstats are the only ones I have experience with. They are great and have no complaints.

I have a herpastat intro and a herp 2. I also have a hydrofarm. Hands down herpastat all the way. Plus blue display makes a great night light.

All we use are Herpstats. We have a combination of their products from the original Herpstat 1 to the Pro and have never had a problem, great product.
