Re: Help my bp may be dying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First thing to do is probably relax. I doubt she is Dying. Sounds to me like a bad shed. We need some more detailed info. Do you keep her in a tank or tub? What is the temps?? Humidity?? How old is she ?? Has she eaten recently ??
What's your husbandry like? Temps, bedding, humidity, etc.? What type of enclosure are you keeping her in? Tank, tub, cage, other...? It sounds like a crappy shed is all from too low of humidity. If that's the case, mist her cage/terrarium/tank/tub/whatever to bump the humidity. How are you measuring your temps and humidity? (or are you?) And what are you using to heat things? Sometimes heat lamps/ceramic heat emitters can zap the humidity pretty quickly, so you have to keep an eye to make sure it's up where it should be to prevent bad sheds. You might read these threads over and start from there:
What makes you think she's dying? Is she in distress in some way, losing weight, passing unusual feces, something else? The worst thing you can do is freak right now, so take a few and collect yourself and keep your head about you. If you really think she's in danger, take her to a vet. If it's just a poor shed, look over the threads I posted and see if they don't answer some of your questions. If she's truly in danger, the first thing would be to find a vet, not refer to an internet forum, no matter how helpful. If it's just the shedding issue, that can be fixed pretty easily. Good luck and hope that helps!
She just had a bad shed. You can try soaking her for a few mins then let her slide through a damp towel. That should clear up the bad shed. Next time bump your humidity up to about 70-75 and she'll she'd just fine.
Aww, she's just having a bad shed hon. Don't freak out. She'll be fine, and so will you. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to peel it off, you can irritate her and she may snap or bite. If it really bothers you that much, you can put a washrag or dishtowel in the bottom of a plastic tub, cover the bottom with about 1 " of warm { 85 degrees} water. Punch a couple of air holes, and put her in the tub. Snap on the lid, and put here she will stay warm for 15 minutes or so. She'll be crabby and stressed out a little, but it will help the leftover shed come right off.
Low humidity causes this, so take a little time to go over her enclosure and double check her husbandry, then when you pinpoint the problem area, you can fix it easily.

Looks like a bad shed. Has she shed for you before? Is she acting any different in any way? If you have a tank try covering most of the top with a damp towel and mist the tank with clean water a couple times a day. This should help. Just a start I'm pretty new to this too. Just trying to calm your nerves I've been freaked out a few times too.
