    Intercepted this little guy swimming.

Found him swimming in the creek in my dad's backyard. His property is against a metroparks wetland preserve so we like to take the kids looking for herps when we visit. I love to see what everyone else finds so I got a few pictures of him to share with the forum.

Pretty sure it is a northern water snake. I wasn't sure at the time but at the last snake show we went to I saw a red bellied water snake and it looked just like this guy but red. I looked up native snakes and found it looked like a northern water snake.
