    Super Champagne - post shed

The Super Champagne shed today and here's an updated picture. She is pretty neat, kind of translucent, if you look closely you can see veins, etc. I think that's giving her the pinkish look. It's difficult to get a good picture as some came out more yellow, or too pink. I think this picture shows her look the best.

She is very shy and constantly tucking her head in. Definitely not 100% but she seems much stronger now.

Re: Super Champagne - post shed

What a beautiful animal!! How did you produce something like that?? I'm still new to this whole thing. I thought the champagne gene was a dominant gene and you could not make a 'super' version of a dominant gene. For example, I've never heard of a 'super spider'. Maybe one exists, but like I said, I'm still trying to figure out the whole genetic thing.

Well because there is a super, it is actually a co-dominant. It was known to not be recessive, but because there hadn't been a super it was deemed dominant. Now, it is proven co-dominant.
