    Price check - Tiger

I would like to check what the price range would be for a 0.1 Tiger (enchi desert) ball python around 500 gram mark?

I know they are expensive. But want to know a reasonable price range.

With the fertility issues that don't seem to be going away anytime soon the price isn't going to be nearly as high as it was...

Be sure to be an ethical seller, and inform a buyer that this animal is probably sterile, and should not be bred. (Breeding these snakes often results in tragedy, as the animals die egg bound, and always results in a clutch of slugs).

To date, no fertile clutches have been produced by a desert female, regardless of which other morphs are in the mix. (Those who claim otherwise have produced 0 evidence). She is a very pretty pet--but just a pet. Price her accordingly, and make sure her new owner will not try to breed her.

If you are potential buyer, understand that this animal cannot be bred, and shop around. You may be better off waiting just a bit, until the more reluctant sellers finally concede the point and lower their prices to fit the pet-only market.

She will make a beautiful pet. The desert morph is gorgeous in combos.

    Thanks people!

LOL I WISH I was the seller. I know the fertility issues she is just so gorgeous that I wanted to buy her and keep. But given the steep price I think I'm going to pass.

Mike Wilbanks recently had female Tigers listed for $750 with notice that female deserts are likely never to breed...hopefully others will soon follow suit. Link to the page...

BHB is listing hatchling female deserts for 500 now. I still see however that other sites list them around 1200 but dont leave any information regarding the infertility issues with these snakes. I almost bought one a few months ago and passed for some unknown reason and the very next day I read something about their inability to produce viable clutches. Must have been divine intervention.

As stated above, the males and females are going to differ quite a bit on price due to the fact that the girls are not producing and the boys are the only way to produce the deserts and combos.

The ones Mike Wilbanks had were lowered to $500 each before they sold. Any prices over $1000 on anything Desert female will not be the standard over the next few months.
