Amazing what you can see just around the house.

My wife likes to garden and she found this right next to the house so of course had to drag me away from my nice comfy couch so I could see it too. We have a LOT of deer in the area but this made for a really cool picture.

And there there was this guy fluttering around my head. So I had to take some pictures if him too.

Beautiful shots! When a Doe puts a Fawn under cover like that, do they usually wonder off far, or do they stay close?

Usually when we see fawns they're sticking pretty close to mom, this one's really young though and I haven't seen the doe all day. I talked to some of the neighbors and they were saying that the fawn was stashed away in their yard yesterday and they didn't see the doe all day either. I would imagine that mom will reclaim the little guy sometime tonight after dark.
