    Rack or animal plastics cage?

My bp is growing, and I have been looking for options as far as caging. I did my research, and for almost the same price as an ap t8 cage with all options, I can get the reptile basics adult rack. I would like another bp possibly, but I also want to exPand the types of herps I keep. Does it make sense to go for the rack, and is it possible to keep other species in the same rack as bps. If so, what species?

If you're going to keep adding ball pythons, a rack makes perfect sense! The first rule of racks is, "No empty tubs!"

I'm not sure what other herps would thrive in a BP temp and humidity environment.

Racks are more economical, AP cages are stackable... but will cost more in the long run for sure (even still it's what I use/prefer)

If you are planning on housing different types of snakes, I would say that the cages are the better option seeing as each cage (or even each side of a divided cage can be kept at different temperatures/humidity levels. For example right now I have a Carpet python and a Dumeril's boa both in the same AP T8 (using the divider to separate them of course) each side has it's own heat tape/thermostat channel, and I can keep each side at its own humidity level...

but if you are planning on keeping large numbers of the same thing, a rack for each type would probably be your best bet.

Go with a rack for the BP unless you want to make a display case out of it. But, being that you were already discussing the possibility of adding on, like others said, you may want to just stick with a rack. My BP rack is far greater in my thoughts than my PVC Cage Wall that displays my carpet pythons. The rack takes up a fraction of the space and houses 6 animals, where as my cage wall which essentially 4 ft x 6ft x 2ft houses 5 carpets and a Boa! Then again, these are larger animals with different requirements. Get the cage that suites your needs the best, but I can not reccommend the RBI BP rack enough! Cb-70 IRIS Adult Ball Rack, 299 shipped, heated with tubs, mine was shipped the morning after I ordered 2!
