a few people on another thread asked me to post a thread about this guy who ripped me off. Here it is.

I posted a wanted ad for a pair of het clowns, almost immediately I received this personal message from bpreptiles.

hello i have a 100% het clowns from nerd with papers and sighed that they are 100% hets...i would like $325 shipped... i am paypal ready and i can meet at hamburg PA this weekend saturday the 28th for $300.00...

I gave him my cell number and told him to call or text me. He texted me pictures of the "het clowns". I immediately asked if he had paperwork. A few minutes later I received this picture. Which is a fake NERD Genetic Certification.


So I started asking him more and more about the snakes, He told me he purchased them directly from NERD at a show in New Hampshire on August 14, 2011. (hence the signature and date on the paperwork). Everything looked okay to me, having never purchased a het before I just assumed that the paperwork was legit and this man's intentions were genuine. We came to an agreement on the price of the snakes and that he would include the "NERD paperwork" when he shipped them to me. I sent him a payment and after a few days my new snakes came. I immediately opened the box and checked on them, they were alive and healthy. After placing the snakes in their new homes I tore through the box looking for the paperwork....there was none to be found. I immediately contacted him and he informed me that his son packaged up the box and he forgot to put the paperwork in there with them. I started getting really suspicious that I may have been scammed. I started researching around and found a bunch worrying threads that he posted. I also posted a picture of the paperwork he sent me on this site and more than 5 people told me that it is a fake. I contacted the guy who sold me them and I told him I want proof that they are legit, he told me he would send me credit card receipt when he got off work at 10pm. I waited till 11 and contacted him asking for it. He didn't respond. The next day I was blowing up his phone, texts (no response) calling him, sometimes it would go to voicemail and other times he would ignore my call. I demanded a refund from him. During all this I contacted NERD and sent them the picture, after a few days they got back to me confirming that it was a 100% fake.

To this day I have no heard back from him. He took my money and will not answer any of my calls. Beware of this guy. Don't let him commit fraud on you too.

Did you pay threw paypal ??? if so file a claim threw them saying its not what you paid for that they ripped you off. Submit the Nerd email saying its 100% fake paperwork. and you will get your $ back. I go threw this a lot threw ebay.
Im sure you will win the case and get your $ back.

Sorry to hear about this. If you did send through PayPal sometimes PP won't help you out because it's a live animal purchase (this is just what I've read on some threads on Fauna's BOI). But if you paid via a CC through PP definitely contact your bank/CC company and they should help you out.

try filling a claim with pay pal they usaually work with you no matter what as long as you can prove its a fake good luck

If he does file a claim through PayPal they are notorious for not doing anything. You are really only covered if they don't send you anything and they take your money. As long as the seller can provide a tracking number with the status of the delivery they can side with the seller. I would still try and they may help rectify the situation.
