    shedding question

i got my tank humidity up to about 65% cant really get it to much higher but my bp WILL NOT stop soaking no matter what he spent most of last night in his moist hide but when hes not in there hes in the water bowl and wont go anywhere else, ive tried taking him out but he goes right back...is all the soaking going to be bad for his shed?

Is your hygrometer accurate? Google Salt test and you can check it.

If your sure you don't have a mite problem, you might just have a soaker on your hands. Will it impact his upcoming shed? Maybe, but your BP might also know what's best for him. Something is driving him to soak. At worst, he'll shed in patches instead of one piece. Still, not the end of the world, and easily delt with.

What are you doing for humidity in your tank? There are a few things you can do about humidity.
You can place an additional or larger water bowl into the tank over the heat source. You can try misting a few times a day. Or cover part of the screen top with foil or damp towels.

    Re: shedding question

I would check temps, and for mites. What are you using for substrate? Eco earth is good for humidity. So is a large water bowl. What are you using for heat, and to control it?

    Re: shedding question

I had a couple of BPs that soaked quite a bit when they didn't have hides that were appropriately sized for them. Make sure your hides fit him snugly, and give him a smaller water bowl, if you're concerned.
