    Average Clutch Size?

I'm sure this has been answered multiple times, but in searching I didn't see anything with this concise of a title so I thought I'd throw it out there. I've heard them run the gamet from 3-14. So I figure I'll throw up a poll so people can put what they have experienced. My assumption is that these numbers should be of healthy animals that are the proper weight and age.

I've only had one clutch and she had 7.
I don't think I count yet. But I do read a lot of post of 7 egg clutches.

You need a bunch of numbers to get a good average. If someone has only had one clutch and that clutch happened to be a 13 egg clutch then it would be an outlier compared to your other averages. I think I remember reading somewhere that the average ball python clutch was of 7 eggs.

I think people giving answers are giving their personal averages so considering that most likely they are averaging their own multiple clutches, OP is looking for the average of everyone's average.

I actually see 7 to 9 egg clutches most of the time. Rarely fewer than 7, or more than 9.
First time/small females are more likely to lay 5 or 6 eggs, though.

I try to keep females that are in the 2000 + gram range, so they lay larger clutches.
