why r green ghost prices high

i was just on king snake and looked up some green ghost and het green ghost and was shocked at the prices of them!!!! have they gone up in prices since i gotten my male a yr and a half ago??? after i had gotten my male green ghost a friend said that green ghost really wont make a diffence when breeding cause its not compatable with anything else does anyone have any info on this

Well kingsnake isn't always accurate to the "standard price" but it all comes down to supply and demand. If they are rare and lots of people want them then prices will be high

*i'm not familure with the green ghost morph so my previous statement was just a general trend.

Check Fauna - I just looked, there are some on there that aren't too expensive.

The first green hypos I heard of where compatible with the largest group of hypos (orange/yellow/butterscotch etc.). TSK now lists their founder hypo as "green" and I know she is compatible. It's only recently that I've started to hear of incompatible green ghosts. I don't know what the story is on those ones on kingsnake now.

I've heard of compatible and incompatible lines of green ghost too. As for price, I couldn't tell you if/why they would have gone up.
