For anyone on the forums that may be interestd in the bird side of wildlife, spring migration is hitting the gulf coast already and interest is rising at places like High Island Sanctuary (as mentioned in the movie / book The Big Year). The peak for warbler movement is less than 3 weeks away, with typical arrivals starting to fall out on the coast around April 15th - May 1st. Last year my record day was 28 Warbler species (This is not maggie marsh in Ohio, so it's a VERY solid number for Texas!) For anyone who's skeptical of bird watchers, here are some of the Warblers I was able to photograph last year to intise your interest!
Magnolia Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
If you're interested, check into your local birding list serves (Texbirds for example is Texas free list serve). And if you want to see more birding / reptile / traveling photographs I've taken out in the field and in the home check out www.flickr.com/codyconway
