    Ratsnakes are more arboreal than i thought!

    Went to check on Luna in her new enclosure and found this....

    I live in arkansas and around my house Black rats are in a large abundance. But anyways on a couple field herps ive caught many black rats, but what was cool was that one was up in a tree and the other tried to escape by climbing a tree. I was quiet impressed at the very good climbing abilities.

    Well theyre known to eat birds and birds live in trees! That would explain it! Nice shots of her drama!

    Birds live in trees????????????? Haha i know that i was just saying that i was surprised in there ability to climb, not questioning why it was up in a tree. lol

    Haha, my friends Retic as a baby used to do that when he was in an enclosure of that size, and now he still tries to.....I don't know if he hasn't realized he's too big for that now...haha

    Cute pic! Both of my corns used to do that too when they were young. Rat snakes are amazing climbers. There are some pictures out there of them scaling the sides of trees just by using the bark.
